For those who may be interested.. Jess is coming home on Friday!

We just got this not too long ago.. thought I'd share with those of you who are friends of Jessie, as well as myself.

Welcome Home Celebration for the 983rd Bravo Company

Bravo Company Soldiers will arrive Friday December 9th in Southfield, Mi approximately 4pm. They will be escorted from the borders of Indiana to Southfield by the Police Department of Oakland County along with one of their helicopters.

We will be opening the facility at 10am on Friday to get the decorations in place for the Celebration. Please feel free to join us at your leisure.

Homestation Activities are as follows:

2pm- Families should start arriving at the unit to start the activities planned as we are waiting anxiously for our soldiers to arrive. There will be Santa there for the children of our unit to distribute gift bags, crafts for all of those that would like to be creative, and we will be decorating sugar cookies to eat while we wait or to take home with you.

We will be providing foodstuff for the families while you wait or help decorate.

Menu:
Meatballs (2 varieties)
Finger sausages
Potato Salad
Cole Slaw
Baked Beans
Veggie Trays
Potato Chips & Dip
Coffee, kids drink, cocoa, soda
Brownies, cookies, cake

4pm- We should be watching for the bus as it heads down the driveway to the unit so we can wave our banners, flags, signs, loose our voices and shed some happy tears because we finally have our loved ones back home!!

There will be a brief momentous ceremony and then the soldiers will be released to their families.

**Please make sure to bring your banners, signs, and noisemakers so we can welcome home our heroes!**
